When you start looking into installing a sprinkler system in your yard, you might be surprised at the wide range of prices. It can be an intimidating process to find the best solution.
You could hire a guy in a truck with a lawn mower who says he’ll set you up for a couple thousand dollars… which sounds pretty affordable. He’s in the yard care industry, but does he really KNOW irrigation?
You could dig a little deeper and find a company that specializes in landscape irrigation. They don’t mow lawns or clean your gutters. Eugene Sprinkler Service spends every day designing, installing and repairing sprinkler systems. Will their price be competitive with Joe Mow & Blow? Probably not on the surface, but experience truly saves time and money in the long run.

How Much Does a New Sprinkler System Cost in Oregon?
If you’re in the early planning stages, you may want to just know the ballpark cost to know if it’s worth moving forward. Unfortunately, that’s difficult to know with so many variables affecting the final cost. A sprinkler system installation is generally between $3,000 and $30,000+, depending on the size of your property, the water source/availability and features you’d like incorporated. That’s a huge range, but really it all boils down to Materials & Labor. Complex landscapes can often require more sprinklers than a large open lawn. Low water pressure can require more zones to always ensure adequate water. Different types of plants require different types of sprinklers or emitters and volume of water which could involve adding more zones that allow specific watering requirements to be accommodated. Would you like a frost-free water spigot to be left activated during the winter when the rest of the system is shut down? Would you like your bird bath to be automatically filled daily? Do you have hanging baskets you’d like incorporated? These are all variables considered in our professional evaluation and quote process.
Ways to Save Money on Your Landscape Irrigation System
Do it right the first time. Failing components, breaks, inadequate water delivery, slop over onto street or house can all incur incredible costs to repair later.
Schedule during the low season. If you are trying to contact an irrigation expert April through September, you will likely be reaching full voicemail boxes and long lead times if you’re lucky to get scheduled. Winter installations include the added bonus that your yard won’t be under construction during the summer when you want to enjoy it!
Install in phases. Most installations can occur in phases. While this won’t really save you money in the long run, it will make it easier to get started.
Pay with Cash or Check. We do accept all major credit cards, but they cost us about 3% so paying with cash or a check will save us and therefore you.
